25 free Australian resume templates: nursing (AHPRA), trades, FIFO mining, teachers and graduates

Free Australian resume templates for nurses (AHPRA), trades, FIFO, teachers, aged care and graduates. No photo, referees included, PDF or Word.

An Australian résumé follows its own rules: no photo or date of birth, a clear line stating your work rights, two to three pages, and referees at the end. And for many jobs, the first thing an employer checks is a licence or registration: AHPRA for nurses, a White Card on construction sites, a Working with Children Check in schools, NDIS Worker Screening in disability care.

The JobPLT CV Builder has 25 free Australian resume templates, each with the right credential section where recruiters look first. For the general format, see our Australian resume guide.

Frequently asked questions

Should an Australian resume have a photo?

No. Australian résumés leave out the photo, date of birth, marital status and religion, in line with anti-discrimination norms. None of the 25 Australian templates has a photo slot.

How long should a resume be in Australia?

Two to three pages is normal for experienced candidates. Students and casual workers should keep it to one page, which is what the Student Part-time & Casual and Hospitality & Retail templates are designed for.

Do I need referees on my resume?

Australian résumés usually end with two referees (recent managers with phone and email) or the line 'Available on request'. Every Australian template includes a Referees section you can switch between the two.

Where do I put my AHPRA registration on a nursing resume?

At the very top, under your name: registration type, AHPRA number, status and expiry. The Nursing (AHPRA) template has an AHPRA Registration section first because employers verify it before reading anything else.

What should a FIFO mining resume include?

The rosters you can work and where you fly from, your tickets and licences (HR licence, White Card, Standard 11), site inductions, a recent pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol clearance, and the equipment you've operated with hours. The Mining & Resources (FIFO) template has a section for each.

How do I show my visa or work rights?

Add them to the Work Rights field, which appears under your name, for example 'Australian Citizen', 'Permanent Resident' or 'Subclass 482 visa'. Recruiters filter on it.
